Employee Benefits

Pension Scheme

All contracted members of staff will be automatically enrolled into either the Teachers’ Pension Scheme, with an employer contribution of 28.68% or the Local Government Pension Scheme, with an employer contribution of 25% (whichever is appropriate to role). All staff are entitled to opt-out of the pension scheme should they wish to do so.

Holiday

We recognise the importance of a good work-life balance and provide generous holiday entitlements. Support staff are entitled to between 24-26 days rising to 27-29 days after 5 years’ service, (dependent on grade and pro rata for part-time staff). This entitlement is in addition to any Bank or Public holidays. If you work term time only, your holiday entitlement will be a minimum of 5.6 weeks, to be taken during school closure periods. Teaching staff receive the standard school holiday allowance.

Flexible and Family Friendly Policies

We understand that our employment policies need to be flexible and responsive in order to promote diversity and equality, and to attract and retain the highest quality workforce. We offer flexible working opportunities; term time only and part-time roles; family friendly policies e.g. maternity, paternity and shared parental leave.

Health & Wellbeing

Employee Assistance programme - Our Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) is supplied by Health Assured, who provide confidential support 24/7 to all employees. Services include, counselling financial information, legal as well as health and wellbeing support. It also grants all members of staff access to their Wisdom wellbeing app.

Mental health support - We also have a network of dedicated Mental Health First Aiders who offer confidential and informal support to staff on mental wellbeing matters.

Cycle to work - Our Cycle to Work scheme enables employees to purchase brand-new bicycles and cycling equipment via salary sacrifice, making tax and National Insurance savings. We have two schemes available, giving you flexibility and savings on bikes and accessories. Payments are taken directly from your salary before tax, making it a cost-effective way to commute and stay active.

Training & Development

We are committed to the continuing professional development of all our staff. The Trust provides support and expertise to staff across our 11 schools, with particular focus on leadership programmes and curriculum implementation in the core subjects. All staff have access to the National College learning and development materials which grants access to hundreds of online courses covering teaching, SEND and more.
